Stadler

STADLER, Arnost (Visa # 882 – age 42)
STADLER, Edith Johanna (age 6)
STADLER, Elsa née MICHL (Visa # 876 – age 36)
STADLER, Eva Maria (age 9)

The above visas were issued by Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 19, 1940. The numbering of the visas, much lower than that of other known visas delivered on the same date, suggests the existence of a second Visa Registry Book for the Portuguese Consulate in Bordeaux, beyond the book that survives.

The STADLER family crossed into Portugal. They sailed on the vessel Serpa Pinto from Lisbon to New York in December 1940.
